NASPAA Accreditation

The Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA) is a membership organization of graduate schools that offer programs in public administration, public policy, public affairs, nonprofit and related fields. It is an industry-respected network that strives to ensure a rigorous standard of education for degree programs such as the Master of Public Policy (MPP) in Policy Analysis or Leadership & Management offered at FSPPM.

NASPAA seeks to motivate universities to increase the size of their programs, the diversity of their courses and the quality of the professors. It requires the institution to demonstrate their contributions to advancing the knowledge, research, and practice of public service. At a NASPAA-accredited program, it is essential for faculty members to produce research and engage in service activities, appropriate to the mission of the program.

Today, NASPAA-accredited programs hold high reputations, both in universities and in the organizations that typically employ MPP graduates. Read more at: https://www.naspaa.org/.

NASPAA and FSPPM

The Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management offers two unique programs that have been accredited by NASPAA: the MPP in Policy Analysis and the MPP in Leadership & Management. This is the first graduate program in the Southeast Asian region to receive accreditation from NASPAA.

NASPAA accreditation is a rigorous peer review process that requires years of self-study, peer review and a demonstrated effort to improve quality. Accredited programs measure student knowledge and their preparedness to be successful public service professionals. Achieving such recognition - secured by only a few public policy schools outside the United States - in less than two years is a real testament to the quality of education offered at FSPPM. It is a critical component of the work being done at the school to build a strong culture of public service for graduates who play leadership role in Vietnam and the world.
